Emily Coy became a Business Doctor for Chesterfield following 15 years as an accountant. Graduating from Sheffield Hallam University with a Business Studies degree, Emily went on to gain both AAT and ACCA qualifications in accountancy.
Working in accountancy firms of all sizes, Emily gained valuable experience providing financial support to a range of businesses in a variety of sectors.
Through working in smaller practices managing a large portfolio of SME clients, Emily was fascinated by the ins and outs of how her client’s businesses worked and discovered her passion for helping them resolve their financial issues.
With strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and an empathetic nature, Emily is committed to supporting SME businesses by providing solutions to their issues to help them achieve their vision.
Emily has recently been elected as a local councillor for Chesterfield Borough Council and is working hard to achieve positive changes for the town of Chesterfield and the local community. She is also a trustee for a local homeless charity providing financial advice to a worthy cause.
