June 23rd, 2012
Simon Halliday will serve the North Manchester and Lancashire area and Steve Wood is taking up the reins in Derbyshire West. Both have enjoyed long and successful business careers and want to share their expertise and know-how to support and drive the success of local businesses.
With a local focus but real breadth of commercial experience to call on, Business Doctors provides expert practical support and advice to small and medium-sized businesses. What's on offer covers everything from strategies for sales and profit growth to people engagement and help with access to funding.
Heading up Business Doctors North Manchester and Lancashire, Simon Halliday has worked in senior roles in a wide range of business contexts - everything from family firms to listed companies. His sector experience includes healthcare and retail, but he's come up against most business issues in the course of a long career.
Simon says: "No matter what the size of your business, there are proven processes that lead to long-term growth and prosperity. What Business Doctors does is to provide these processes within a structure that I have seen be hugely successful with all companies looking to get on the right track to success.
"I am passionate about helping businesses survive and thrive and looking forward to meeting companies from my local area."
The other new starter for Business Doctors in Steve Wood, covering Derbyshire West.
Steve's business background encompasses roles ranging from finance director of a worldwide company to running several small businesses that operate internationally. Recently he was chief finance officer for a privately owned business that he helped to grow from £800k turnover to £7m in five years.
Steve says: "I like to work as a sounding board and partner to MDs, helping them to find new routes to growth and other means of renewal. Covering an area of Derbyshire I know well is an exciting prospect. I'm sure I can help the companies in the area and provide a boost to the local economy along the way."
