North East Business Doctors partner up for GDPR
March 16th, 2018
Business Doctors Graham Robson and Simon Grant are teaming up and heading out together to make sure North East business owners are prepared for GDPR.
The General Data Protection Regulation, which comes into play on the 25th May this year, can result in small businesses being fined (up to 4% of their turnover) if they don’t comply with the new rules.
Ahead of the deadline, every SME needs to undertake a full internal review to begin to unlock what is required.
The review needs to include:
- What types of personally identifiable information do you hold?
- Where are they located?
- What level of security is required?
- Who has access?
- How will the data be used?
- Do you have consent to use the data you hold?
GDPR is about more than just data being secure. It’s about capturing the context of data and being able to prove everything is being done to protect the subject’s data and the rights of the subject themselves.
Is your business prepared?
There’s currently lots of information out there and some of it can be quite overwhelming.
Graham and Simon are offering a jargon free, practical workshop that explains GDPR in simple terms to SMEs.
The GDPR Implementation Workshop takes delegates through a structured session that creates a plan for you and your business.
You may have been on a GDPR awareness seminar already and possibly come away more confused.
Our workshops are totally different!
The interactive session considers the practical application of the regulation, and tailors it specifically to your business.
Each event will be a 3 hour session built around:
1) An Interactive presentation.
2) Workbooks - individual personal copy to build a plan for YOUR Business.
3) Journal record booklet - this will allow you to record the action being taken within YOUR Business.
4) Certificate of attendance
